The actor shares an extremely special relationship with this territory, as his movies 'PK', '3 Idiots' and 'Dhoom 3' have secured the place of the top 3 highest grossing Indian films at the China box office.

His film PK became the highest grossing Indian film ever in China. It has earned a whopping amount of 140 crs net box office surpassing the records of 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3. It had released on a huge scale of 4000 screens.

Interestingly, Aamir's '3 Idiots' became the first Indian films that were screened publicly in China since 1970, post which several Indian films garnered a gateway into the China market. In fact, the film struck an instant chord with China's famously overworked students, so much so that some Chinese universities were, last year, even prescribing the film in their coursework as a kind of stress-relief in their classrooms.

Now Aamir's latest release, 'Dangal' is all set to release in a bigger way. A source close to the project says that Aamir enjoys a huge fan following in China as well. The distributor has planned a huge scale release across the country'.
