While Aamir Khan has had a series of releases during Christmas, Shahrukh Khan is known to release his films during the festive period of Diwali. A lot of their films have released during their respective festive times. However, there are rumours doing the rounds that Aamir planned to launch the trailer of his film, 'PK', around Diwali only to clash with the release of SRK's film, 'Happy New Year'.

When Aamir heard of these rumours, the actor just laughed them off.

When we asked Aamir for a reaction, he denied the allegation, saying, "It's totally untrue. In the past, too, a lot of my trailers have been launched on Diwali - whether it was Taare Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008) or 3 Idiots (2009). Even when Raju (Rajkumar Hirani; director) and I discussed it (the theatrical trailer's launch date), we zeroed down on this festive launch."
