Aamir Khan's fans and cinephiles all over the country are awaiting the release of 'Lal Singh Chadda' from a really long time now. The actor is known for taking his time in order to make things as close to his vision as possible and thus his projects often get delayed. The film is finally going to release on 14 April 2022 which is also the release date of highly anticipated Kannada movie 'KGF: Chapter 2'.
Usually when such big budget movies clash on box office, a sense of hostility can be seen between filmmakers. However, that is not the case with 'Lal Singh Chadda' and 'KGF: Chapter 2' clash. Apparently, Aamir wanted the film to release on Baisakhi day since he plays a Sikh man in it. He explained the situation to 'KGF: Chapter 2' makers and reached an agreement with them.
Aamir said during an interview, "Before I finalised the date, I profusely apologised to the producer (Vijay Kiragandur), director (Prashanth Neel), and lead man (Yash) of KGF Chapter 2. I wrote to them and explained my predicament. I told them how the lockdown had made matters difficult for all producers. I also explained that a Baisakhi release for my film would be ideal. They understood my viewpoint and were good enough to ask me to go ahead in spite of their film releasing on the same day."
'Lal Singh Chadda' is a remake of Academy Award winning 1994 film 'Forrest Gump' while 'KGF: Chapter 2' is the sequel of the film which propelled Kannada star Yash into pan Indian levels of stardom.
