Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma congratulated Mariyappan Thangavelu on winning a gold medal in the men's high jump T-42 event at the Rio Paralympics.

Anushka posted: "Congratulations #MariyappanThangavelu and #VarunSinghBhati on the absolutely stellar performance and on creating history.. #Paralympics".

Thangavelu created history on Friday night by winning the gold medal.
