Aamir Khan: There was pressure on me to lose weight

'Dangal' poster which got released lately has created super impact on everyone. Aamir Khan posing as a wrestler, surrounded by four on-screen daughters, is garnering good reviews from critics and B-Town celebrities. The poster launch witnessed Aamir Khan along with 'Dangal' director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur gracing the event.

Talking about the movie, Aamir revealed why he said yes to 'Dangal'. The actor shared that the moment he read the script he absolutely loved it, the way how it moved, entertained and made him laugh. "I loved the script so much, I immediately decided I'll believe in my audience and shoot the film," quoted Aamir.

When it was 'Dangal', so much has been gone in writing about Aamir's looks and most importantly about his weight gain and weight lose. While discussing this aspect, Aamir revealed at a point that since he wanted to shoot the chubby portions first, there was pressure on him to lose weight again. Aamir also thanked his nutritionist and trainers for the seemingly impossible weight loss and muscle gain.

Aamir expressed his appreciation over his four on-screen daughters for being so effortless and talented while learning wrestling and the dialect. He called them as Dangal's hearts. Stated Aamir, "It's unbelievable how focussed and hard-working kids today are, especially my on-screen daughter's". However, Aamir also stressed over the fact that 'Dangal' isn't a story just about a father-daughter relationship, but beating the odds with conviction.

On Aamir, Nitesh Tiwari claimed that he is very easy actor to work with and gave him total free hand. "We have not tried to glorify Aamir's character... he is a real, flawed character", said the director. Produced by UTV and presented by Disney India, Dangal` is slated to release on 23rd December, 2016.
