Aadhi has already established himself as a superstar with the Gen X people by his brilliant independent song albums and his association with Anirudh in ‘Ehirneechal’ and ‘Kaththi’ has earned him an opportunity to score for a feature film. What was supposed to Yuvan’s movie has become Aadhi’s debut in Kollywood.

Aadhi dishes a kick ass dance number to start the album. ‘Pazhagikalam’ is delivered right from the bottom of his heart. Aadhi, a rapper, who has done wonders with Anirudh and rocked the internet with his independent albums has made a giant stride as a composer and hit the bulls eye in his first attempt.The track is not something unique, but it does carry its quotient of freshness and it is destined to hit the charts. Audio has stuck with the 3.5-4 min rule and composed a foot tapping material.

Aadhi makes use of his main weapon to serve the second track, a racy rap comprising various instruments. However, the track fall shot and doesn’t inject the enthusiasm compared to the earlier song. The songs might go well with the visuals to occupy the charts after the release of the movie.

Aadhi regains the momentum with this number as he allows his lead singers to take the front seat. Kailash Kher’s rendering is funky and Vishnu Priya gels really with him to spark a festival atmosphere right from the word go. Aadhi has put his innovation on display by fusioning folk with DJ theme; an experiment, which is sure to earn laurels for him.

Well, here comes the ultimate surprise from the composer. If you go song by song, you wouldn’t guess something like this after the first three songs and that’s where it stands out. Mohit Chauhan carves his name all over this soft rock number; consisting steady drum beats in the first half and a dreamy electronic guitar which open the doors to Amrita’s arrival.
Yaar Enna Sonnalum – Kutle Khan, Anthony Dassan, Varun Listen here
Kutle Khan’s vocals hasn’t done enough justice to the pathos and the instruments dominates the lyrics. It would have sounded much better, if the composer had made some alterations to the sound arrangements. However, Anthony Dassan got the much needed break in terms of a different genre than his regular folk singing.

Aadhi signs off in style with a heady remix of yesteryear ‘Inbam Pongum Vennila’ with his signature rap verses. The song works big time because of the perfect mixture of lyrics from the classic song and layering it over thundering drums and Mridangam. An enjoyable and highly foot tapping track to end the unconventional OST.
