'Aakrosh' isn't meant for kids

'Aakrosh' has got an 'Adults only' certificate for itself but the makers are undeterred. On the contrary, they feel that it was just fair that the film is now meant only for adults viewing because now, the film would be presented in an 'as-is' format - as it was visualised - without going through the kind of cuts that would have made the film suitable for universal audience.

Says producer Kumar Mangat, Every film brings with it it's own audience. The kind of subject that 'Aakrosh' deals with, it was bound to have quite a few hard hitting moments that would have mainly catered to adult audience only. Not everything can be candyfloss.

When asked if he is disturbed with the fact that the film won't reach out to the younger age group and Mangat says, I don't have any issues with that. The decision makes sense because there are elements in the film which are not suitable for kids. There are references to religion, politics, honour killings and also comprises of some raw language. I would rather opt at presenting the scenes the way they were designed rather than dilute them so that kids could watch it as well.

Boasting of a solid star cast comprising of Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu and Paresh Rawal, this Priyadarshan directed film releases on 15th October.
