Expectations
Every kid born in the 80's and the 90's era has loved, danced and laughed over the movies of Govinda. This ace actor-comedian-dancer gave us tons of entertainer with many foot tapping songs. His aura faded out in the last decade and only the reminiscence of his entertainers were seen on the television. Due to which whenever Govinda decided to do a comeback, audience were highly excited and waited for him.
Sadly, none of these comebacks manage to make any sort of mark and once again he is back with 'Aagaya Hero'. Sadly, this time there is no excitement nor any curiosity attached with this stale film.
Story
'Aagaya Hero' is a story about super cop Ravindra Verma (Govinda), who is assigned to find out the culprits behind the serial bomb blast. Ravindra requests the President of India to give him a license to kill and submits a project file known as Abhinay Chakra. On the other end Ravindra starts fooling his fellow cops and keeps interacting with the local goons (Ashutosh Rana and Murli Sharma) and corrupt politicians (Surendra Pal and Makrand Deshpande). This leads to a cat and mouse type of fight between them
The 'Glitz' Factor
Except of watching Govinda on the big screen there is not even a single glitz factor in this movie.
The 'Non-Glitz' Factor
There is absolutely no story in this film as the movie has set course of scenes and situations along with songs which keeps repeating again and again. Almost every scene seemed forced and failed to connect with each other. There were several side tracks with multiple female oriented characters which makes no sense to this senseless script.
These situations are kept on repeat mode throughout the film until the last few minutes where Govinda changes his appearance and kills the main culprit. It seems these finale scenes were from some other film and rest of the scenes from a different one.
Almost, every scene has trashy dialogues which ends up being total verbose. These dialogues after a while seems preachy and highly boring. The movie has series of villains with some weird style attached to their characters. The C.G.I work is terrifically bad and will remind you of some low budget television serial.
The songs are loud, cheap and vulgar at times. There is no head or tail in the film and the movie ends up being a never ending saga.
Govinda fails to recreate the old magic. Ashutosh Rana hams to the fullest along with Murli Sharma. Makrand Deshpande tries hard to be funny. Chandrachur Singh and Surendra Pal are wasted.
Final 'Glitz'
'Aagaya Hero' is like a dummies guide for overacting. It’s one of the worse films from recent times and after watching this movie, the old films of Govinda will also not help you to recover from wishing for his comeback.
