Immediately after announcing 'Aadu 2', the sequel of 'Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeevi Aanu', the makers revealed that the movie would be a 2017 Christmas release. And now, the team recently released its first character poster that features Shaji Pappan (Jayasurya) and his friends, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagat Manuel, Saiju Kurup, etc, all of them wearing sun glasses in style and vigor. 'And they are back... character poster 1 - SHAJI PAAPPAN AND TEAM. Aadu 2 on December 22..!!', wrote 'Aadu 2' director Midhun on his social media page.

From the looks of the poster, the sequel of the movie is yet another episode of Shaji Pappan's life and is going to be a colourful mass action comedy.  'Aadu 2' will have all the actors from its prequel reprising their roles while Anson and Appani Sarath are the only addition to the cast. Produced by Vijay Babu's Friday Films, 'Aadu 2' will have music by Shaan Rahman and is all set for a release on December 22. The trailer of the movie expected to be out soon.
