Following their previous sensational hit "Vaishali," hero Aadhi Pinisetty and director Arivazhagan are collaborating once again for an exciting new project titled "Sabhdam," a supernatural crime thriller. The teaser for "Sabhdam" was released by Victory Venkatesh, who also extended his best wishes to the makers.
The teaser intriguingly sets the tone for the film without revealing too much of the plot. It showcases Aadhi Pinisetty's character recording sounds in a haunted house, which seems to be central to the film's horror element. The teaser also features other key actors, some of whom appear haunted or tormented by supernatural forces, hinting at a suspenseful and chilling narrative.
This project marks the second collaboration between director Arivazhagan and Aadhi Pinisetty, who previously worked together on the critically acclaimed 2009 film "Eeram," which also belonged to the horror genre.
Apart from Aadhi Pinisetty, "Sabhdam" features actors Lakshmi Menon, Laila, Redin Kinglsey, MS Bhaskar, Rajeev Menon, and Simran in prominent roles. The film is produced by 7G Siva under the banner 7G Films, with S Banupriya Siva serving as the co-producer.
"Sabhdam" was filmed in locations such as Mumbai, Munnar, and Chennai, with a 120-year-old library constructed for the film. While the release date is yet to be announced, it is scheduled for a summer 2024 release.
The film features music by S Thaman, cinematography by Arun Bathmanaban, and editing by VJ Sabu. Arivazhagan and Thaman have previously collaborated on films like "Eeram," "Vallinam," and "Aarathu Sinam." According to the makers, "Sabhdam" will offer a different experience from "Eeram," focusing more on frightful elements rather than romance and sentiments, promising an intense and thrilling horror film. Expectations are high on the project as Aadhi Pinisetty is renowned for his impactful and intense performances doing different genre entertainers and endeared himself to all with his selection of projects.
