The name of the character Aadhi playing in ‘Aadu Puli’, his forthcoming film, is Idhayakani. For those wondering why the unique name was given to him, here we give the reason behind it.

Prabhu, who is Aadhi’s father in the movie, plays the role of an ardent MGR fan. So he names his son Idhayakani, one of the sobriquets of the AIADMK founder and also the title of a film in which the former Chief Minister had acted.

“Aadu Puli is a complete entertainer meant for family viewing. It was a great experience to act with veterans like Prabhu and K R Vijaya,” says Aadhi, who is now busy shooting for Vasanthabalan’s ‘Aravaan’.
