Aadhavan
Aadhavan, starring Suriya and Nayantara, is triggering expectations among audience for a host of reasons. The film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. And it is directed by K S Ravikumar, the man behind some of the memorable blockbusters of Tamil cinema, including Superstar Rajinikanth's Padayappa and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan's Dasavatharam. The film has musical score by Harris Jayaraj, whose association with Suriya was so successful in films like Kaakha Kaakha, Ghajini, Varanam Ayiram and Ayan. Last but not the least, veteran actress Saroja Devi will feature in this movie and her character is said to be significant. Slated to release soon, the movie is shaping up as a complete entertainer with an extra dose of comedy. Suriya will play a negative lead role in this movie, sources said. Another exclusive feature of this movie is that a song sequence shot at select places in Iceland, where James Bond movies were shot. Aadhavan is the first-ever Tamil feature film to be shot in the ice-capped nation. Vadivelu, Murali, Fefsi Vijayan, Ramesh Kanna, who has scripted the story, Shayaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, Anand Babu and Manobala are part of the cast. Art is by Rajeevan. Says Ravikumar, "People would be surprised by the richness of star cast. We have picked up best performing artistes from across the film industry. The movie will also be noted for its hilarity, with Vadivelu wielding the comedy track." Heaping laurels on Ravikumar, producer Udhyanaidhi says, "Ravikumar is not just the director of the film. He has taken complete care of the project. He is almost like a producer." Showering praises on Suriya, music composer Harris says, "Actually, when it comes to Suriya, he is able to translate my songs well on-screen. His expressions and moves add value to the songs that I compose. I am sure that Aadhavan too will make it big." It's now the turn of Suriya to say something about the movie. "There is a surprise for my fans in it. The film will be a treat to the eyes, thanks to Ravikumar and Udhayanidhi," he says. |
