Aacharya

A one-time associate of director Bala, Ravi is making his directorial foray with Aacharya featuring Vignesh. Ravi is confident of meeting the expectations of the audience.

Vignesh, who is still struggling hard to establish himself in the industry, plays a Brahmin youth.

Ravi says, 'Aacharya is a realistic movie and is based on a real life incident that happened in a remote village in Madurai.'

The happenings in the life of a Brahmin, inculcating the ethics of age-old culture in every household is Aacharya, who has moral values to safeguard, said Ravi.

Dwelling further, he says, 'The movie is about a pious Brahmin youth, who is compelled by circumstances to wield knife'.

The highlight of the movie is that all the eight songs will have no lip movement from the artistes. Music-director Bharadwaj has rendered a number in the musical score of Srikanth Deva. The star cast comprise  Nasser, Thennavan, Devan, Vadivikurasi, Charan Raj and 'Ganja' Karuppu besides debutant Divya.

Says Vignesh, 'Having been impressed by the script, I decided not to accept any other offer until Aacharya is released. The movie has shaped up in such a way that it would make it to the top. A real attempt which deserves a pat on our back'.

The other credits are: M Rajavelu (cinematography); A C Pillai (art); Prakash (stunt); Muthukumar (lyrics) and Suresh Urs (editing). Aacharya will grace theatres this July.
