Based on a shocking underworld development in mid 80's in Bangalore - the genesis for rowdy zamana and half murder a routine aspect in those days - this film is made with nothing to boast in the contents. The documentary style of narration with lovely cinematography by H.C.Venu and splendid work from music maestro Ilayaraja in 'Aa Dinagalu' saves the film from falling down to the rock bottom level.

Chetan (Chetan) and Mallika (Archana) are in deep love. Chetan is a business magnet a Konkani Brahmin with a vast empire of his father while Mallika is a dance teacher hailing from Vokkaliga community. The love affair of these two is not tolerated by Chetan's father. He hires the underworld don Kotwal Ramachandra (Sharat Lohitashva) to handle the case. This is what irks Chetan and he is perturbed mentally. For coming as a hardship Chetan wants to take revenge on Kotwal. That is not an easy task. Chetan goes to the opponent gang of Kotwal - Jayaraj to seek support in his mission. But just before this the incident that takes place at Kanishka Hotel brings in bad name for Chetan. He is suspected by the police. After release Chetan further strengthen his plan with Sridhar and Bachchan. They all seek Sreeraj the trusted friend of Kotwal friend to near to Kotwal. Believing that Kotwal will be safe Sriraj sends this trio Chetan, Sridhar, Bachchan to Tumkur. This is where Kotwal is killed when his right hand Shetty also ditch him.

What is purpose behind making this kind of a film? Director Chaitanya should have used the flash back techniques to hold the gripping narration to interest the audience.

Chetan who looks similar to Tamil actor Prashanth has very good ability. He has the perfect build to become a macho hero. Archana is very sweet and suits the role perfectly. In the supporting cast Atul Kulkarni, Sharat Lohitashva and Dinesh Mangalore have given striking performances. Girish Karnad, Vinayaprakash have nothing much to do. Ashish Vidyarthi is not up to the mark.

Two lovely tunes and background score of Ilayaraja is the first high point of the film and second notable work comes from H.C.Venu.

Go and watch if you have free time.

Scoring 5/10
