In the wee hours of October 2, a woman in Pune had given birth to a baby on a private cab en route to the hospital. In a celebratory gesture,  Ola cab service has given the mother and the child a free ride pass for the next five years.

Ishwari  was accompanied by her brother and mother when she gave birth to a baby boy on the back seat of the car, while driver Yashwant Galande directed the vehicle to Kamla Nehru hospital which is located at Mangalwar Peth. Upon reaching the hospital, doctors immediately cut the umbilical cord and took in the mother and child for further treatment.

Both the mother and the child are healthy now and the family has expressed their gratitude to the driver who had taken them to the hospital safe and sound. Ola has felicitated Yashwant for his act and also issued coupons named after the baby which could be used to avail the free rides.
