Malayalam cinema has long resisted the arrival of dubbed versions of films, as they were always there to see the original.

And so, English, Hindi and Tamil movies were always released in original versions in Kerala. But that cannot be said for Telugu films as very few in the state could understand the language.

And in the last couple of years a number of Telugu films that came in as dubbed versions made good collections.

Films like Arya even celebrated 50 days in the state. Last year also saw films like Lakshmi which ran due to its glamour quotient.

In the present year, a few Telugu films are being lined up for releases in the state. Another Telugu film Happy is running successfully in theatres, while Nagarjuna's Boss, I love you will make a release tomorrow.
