Ram Gopal Verma seems to be a great fan of Ravi Teja.

The popular director, it seems, wanted to do a film with Ravi Teja immediately after Idiot's release. But that couldn't happen for want of the right script and story.

When he got that, Verma has gone ahead with the project ,making Harish direct it. This is background of the film Shock that is eagerly expected. Harish had earlier worked as asssistant director in Ravi Teja's films.

Starring Jyothika as the heroine, Shock is said to be an entertaining thriller.

Verma is fully impressed with what has come out so far. He says 'I have watched the edited version of the first half and I am impressed. There is quality in every aspect of the film'.

Shock does not belong the genre horror, though the title might suggest it being so. It is a thriller with a love theme.

Verma feels Ravi Teja is brilliant in the film. The performance of Tabu, who plays an important role, will also be talked of highly.

Jyothika,the heroine, may produce the Tamil version of Shock with Suriya as the hero.

Shock is scheduled for January release.
