Film buffs in Kerala will have a great ride in SalimAhammed’s 'Pathemari'. Starred by Mammotti, Pathemari tells the story of the hardships and experiences of malayalis in gulf countries.

It is the second film in which Ahammed and Mammooti are uniting. The duo’s earlier film was 'KunjananthanteKada'.

Other stars in the movie include Sreenivasan, Siddique, Salim Kumar, Joy Mathew, Yavanika Gopalakrishnan. The lead actress for the movie has yet to be decided.

The story line of the movie revolves around half a century of ordeals that the gulf exodus gave to the people in the state. The movie is expected to epitomize the life and dreams of gulf malayalis, who in search of a better life, had to live through untold hardships and tragedies.
