Prakash Raj has wound up his home production Poi directed by his mentor K Balachander.

The actor is all set to take a new avatar. He is planning to direct a movie soon. Buzz is that he has bought the remake rights of blockbuster Malayalam hit Udhayananu Tharum and planning to direct the same in Tamil.

Udhayananu Tharum featured Mohanlal, Meena and Srinivasan in the lead roles and was all about the travails of an assistant director in filmdom.

The movie directed by Roshan Andrews was a big hit in Kerala. Impressed with the movie, Prakash Raj has reportedly brought the remake rights of the movie.
