A.R. Rahman to score background music for Fahadh Faasil?

Fahadh Faasil's upcoming movie Malayankunju is one of the most awaited movies in Malayalam. Recently an exciting update is being circulated about the movie that the veteran film composer A.R Rahman has been roped in to compose the background score of the film. However, an official announcement regarding the news is awaited.
The last Malayalam film that had a music score by Rahman was Yodha, which came out in 1992. As you know, AR Rahman is making his comeback in Mollywood after a long gap of over 30 years with the upcoming Mohanlal movie 'Aarattu'. It is reported that the B. Unnikrishnan directorial will have a special number composed by AR Rahman. The composer has also scored music for director Blessy’s upcoming magnum opus Aadujeevitham, which is based on writer Benyamin’s novel of the same name. The film stars Prithviraj in the lead role. Well, the recent speculations on the Malayankunju, the hype seems to be high.
Directed by Sajimon Prabhakar and written by Mahesh Narayanan, the project is produced by the veteran filmmaker Fazil. The first official trailer of ‘Malayankunju’ is under works and is set to be released on December 24 this year. Rajisha Vijayan has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Fahadh Faasil in the movie, which will mark their first onscreen collaboration. The movie also has Indrans and Jaffer Idukki essaying the pivotal roles. Mahesh Nayaranan, who is the scriptwriter, is also in charge of cinematography and editing. The editor-filmmaker who has tried a hand in virtual cinematography with C U Soon is making his debut as an independent cinematographer with Malayankunju. The movie will mark Fahadh Faasil's fourth collaboration with the multi-faceted talent Mahesh Narayanan, after Take Off, Malik, and C U Soon. Kumbalangi Nights fame music director Sushin Shyam has been roped in as the music composer for Malayankunju as well. Editing is by Arju Ben.
