Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman who has been conducting several live concerts in recent times was supposed to perform in Chennai in August but the show was washed out due to heavy rains. The concert titled 'Marakkuma Nenjam' was later scheduled on September 10th at the same venue in Pannaiyur, Chennai.
However due to some glitch in the management of the show it was alleged that the music lovers and ARR fans went through a lot of trouble due to over-allotment of tickets for the concert. It was also said that people who bought tickets up to 5000 rupees were unable to watch. It was further alleged that the event coordinators did not provide proper facilities including parking which turned out to be a horrifying experience for those who paid high ticket prices.
The company that organized the concert has apologized after the videos of the incident went viral on the internet. Apart from that, DGP Shankar Jiwal of Tamil Nadu also said that an explanation will be sought from them.
