Director Kathir who introduced many talented Actor like Abbas, Heera, Kunal, Rambha Richard and Sridevi Vijaykumar through his blockbuster films like 'Kadhal Desam', 'Kadhalar Dhinam', and ' Kadhal Virus' is all set to give a comeback after almost a decade.

Kathir was known for directing heart touching love stories, but the filmmaker hasn’t directed a Tamil film since 'Kadhal Virus', which was released in 2002. Now he is ready to give a comeback with a debutant as the lead and has roped in Rahman for scoring music.

Speaking about his long break in Kollywood, Kathir said, “I had done a Kannada film in 2016. I had also been working on a couple of international films. I have been getting offers to direct during these years, but things fell in place only now. This new film’s producer, Ranganathan, had approached me because he wanted to launch his son, Kishore. Since I’ve introduced many new actors, I felt I can also launch a producer’s son this time.”

When asked about the genre he is going to explore in this movie he said, “Like all my films, this one will also be a love story. It will be a musical love story and Yes, Rahman will be composing the music for this film. The composing is yet to begin. I am now in the process of finalising the other cast and crew for this project." It is also notable that this successful combo is reuniting after 19 years.
