Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman has shared a new video showing the positive and vibrant side of his 'Marakkuma Nenjam' concert held in Chennai on September 10th. It is well known that the mismanagement of the event by the private organizers resulted in controversies. Tickets were allegedly oversold beyond the capacity of the venue and premium ticket holders could not enter and had to return back. Fans were subject to physical and mental stress.
The Oscar winner not only apologized for the mishap but also promised refunds and also made a request to the authorities to build proper facilities for conducting cultural and artistic events.
The new over four-minute long video features moments from 'Marakkuma Nenjam' right from ARR's debut song "Chinna Chinna Aasai" from 'Roja' to the recently released songs from 'Ponniyin Selvan'. Rahman and his son Ameen have sung some songs. The video sure proves that with little more care and planning from the organizers would have been one of the biggest succeses in the concert space in Tamil Nadu.
It is worth mentioning that the same 'Marakkuma Nenjam' concerts held in Coimbatore and other venues were huge successes and delighted A.R. Rahman fans to the maximum. The legendary composer's upcoming films include Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan', Vijay Sethupathi's 'Gandhi Talks', Jayam Ravi's 'Genie', Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' and Kamal Haasan - Mani Ratnam's 'KH 234'.
