Isaigniani Ilayaraja and Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman are legends of different eras of Tamil cinema music. The unique thing about both is that they have weathered the competions from inumerable talents to still remain not only relevant but at right there at the top.

A.R. Rahman was on a long US and Canada concert tour which turned out be a blockbuster hit as all the shows were sold out. The Canadian government honored him by naming a street after him as well. While returning home he bumped into none other than Ilayaraja one of his biggest inspirations.

Ilayaraja was in Budapest, Hungary where he has a long musical association and was also returning home. The geniuses hopped on to the same buggy that took them to their flights. Rahman shared a selfie video with his senior and wrote "We are returning from different continents ..but destination is always தமிழ்நாடு #tamilnadu ???? @ilayaraja_official from #budapest @arrahman from #Usa #canada."

Ilayaraja's upcoming movies include Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai' starring Soori and Bhavani Sre and the English film ' A Beautiful Breakup' directed by Ajith Vasan Uggina. Rahman meanwhile has the multistarrer magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' directed by his favorite filmmaker Mani Ratnam releasing on September 30th.
