The magnificent music director of South India AR Rahman with international acclaim today comes to the place where he began his career in the early days. AR Rahman is scoring six tunes for Kannada film ‘God Father’. It is ‘Varalaru’ remake. For the original film AR Rahman has scored nine tunes in the direction of KS Ravikumar that starred Ajithkumar, Asin and Kaniha.

What is interesting is that Rahman is composing fresh tunes and contract has been reached by PC Sreeram. Sreeram was the cameraman of ‘Varalaru’ is director in Kannada version.

Rahmanji tunes were used for Kannada film ‘Sajani’ in the past that starred Sharmila Mandre and Dhyan. This is said to be his first official entry. The selection of singers for Kannada film is left to AR Rahman choice. Anand Audio has signed the contract for the audio rights.

As a matter of fact the career of AR Rahman started in Karnataka. He has worked under great composers like GK Venkatesh, Vijayanand, Hamsalekha – as keyboard operator.
