Kollywood seems to be caught in a whirlwind of activity as income tax raids have been conducted at the properties of film financier Anbuchezhian, production houser AGS Entertainment and Thalapathy Vijay. On the other hand director, A.R. Murugadoss has approached the Madras High Court seeking police protection to his house in Chennai.
Murugadoss in his petition has stated that for the past couple of days threats have come to his residence from certain film distributors. This is in connection with the supposed losses incurred in the distribution of Rajini's 'Darbar' directed by ARM and produced by Lyca Productions. It is said that a group of distributors from all over Tamil Nadu are camped in Chennai and a few days back gathered at Superstar Rajinikanth's house and ask him for compensation but could not meet him.
According to reports Lyca Productions has informed the troubled distributors that it has incurred heavy losses by producing 'Darbar' and is not in a position to pay them back. Hence the distributors had focussed on director A. R. Murugadoss and have started going to his house and putting up their demands.
