A.R.Murugadoss rejects Vijay's blockbuster sequel?

There have been reports in a Tamil weekly that Lyca Productions are roping in A.R. Murugadoss to direct the sequel to the blockbuster Thupakki' which is to begin after the director finishes his Mahesh Babu project.

However, sources close to ARM inform us that the director is not keen on doing a sequel, but instead is interested to film a fresh script with the Illayathalapathy. This is too early for any concrete info about this project as both Vijay and Murugadoss have to complete their current assignments .
