A quiet festival

A calm prevails in Kollywood unlike earlier years when it would be buzzing with activity during Deepavali season.
Normally half-a-dozen movies would storm the theatres on the festive day providing a treat for film buffs.
Interestingly, this year it looks likely that only two movies (Majaa and Sivakasi) would be released and that too a couple of days before Deepavali to cash in on the week-end collections.
Rumors are abuzz that Cheran's Thavamai Thavamirundhu has reportedly backed out from the race while Vijayakanth's Pererasu has dubbing works still to be completed. Adhu Oru Kanaa Kaalam looks to be a doubtful starter.
