Modati Cinema, the name may sound quaint, and positively bizarre, but it is one of the films that is keeping the trade tizzy.

Modati Cinema, produced by Kunduru Ramana Reddy and directed by Venkat Kuchipudi, has Navdeep in the male lead.

And as every one and his uncle knows Navdeep is desperate for a success show. Modati Cinema had better be.

The producer says it will be. It is a musical with six big songs and six small ones.

Venkat Kuchipudi said the film had been shot in exotic places like Sikkim (something no Telugu film has done before). We almost touched the China border, he says with pride.

Now that is scary.

He adds that film is a feel-good one and there is good scope for the heroine to showcase her skills. There is also plenty of scope for comedy, he adds.

A debutant, Swaraj, has scored the music. And he says all the songs have come out well.

Modati Cinema is set for release in October.
