Superstar Rajinikanth's speech indicating his political entry has evoked ugly reactions from fringe groups of Tamil Nationalism. A few outfits across the state have burnt the effigy of Rajinikanth and have opposed the star's proposed entry into politics as he is not a born Tamil.

Now as a counter reaction to this another fringe outfit of Hinduism named as All India Hindu Sathya Sena has petitioned the Chennai City Police Commissioner seeking protection to Rajinikanth and his family members living in Chennai.

In the petition it has been said that actor Rajinikanth wishes to enter politics to bring about a change in Tamil Nadu and some political parties and outfits have started protesting in a bid to thwart his political entry.
