A pat from censor officials - Kannum Kannum

Prasanna's long-pending Kannum Kannum would hit the screens this August. The movie starring Prasanna and Udhayathara has been lying in the cans for long time. The movie is directed by G Marimuthu.

The director says,” It is a wholesome entertainer without double entendre and crass comedy. It would attract womenfolk”.

Recently the movie was screened for censor certification. Fortunately for Marimuthu, Kannum Kannum has managed to pull off the whole process without having to face the scissors.

The movie was granted a 'U' certificate by the censor board officials. They also appreciated Marimuthu for coming out with a clean and good entertainer.

The movie has musical score by Dheena.

'Yamadonga' to hit screen on August 15

It is reliably learnt that 'Yamadonga' directed by SS Rajamoulu, presented by Rama Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gunnam on the banner of Viswamitra Creations with NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead, is all set to hit the screen on the Independence Day, August 15.

'Dammunnodu' with Rishi as hero

'Dammunnodu' is the title confirmed for the film being produced by A Raju on the banner of Lachuram Productions introducing BVV Choudary as director with Rishi and Yukta in the lead.

'Abbo Aadavallu' shooting in progress

Two schedules of 'Abbo Aadavallu' directed by TN Raju and produced by G Ashok Reddy were completed by shooting at Talakona and Vikarabad. Presently the third schedule is in progress at Hyderabad. Climax is being shot during this schedule.

Onam line up not yet finalised

But this year, with another thirty days for Onam, only Mohanlal's Alibhai and Suresh Gopi's Kichamani MBA are finalized to hit the screens, as the strike that MACTA initiated has put a question mark on release of films like Mammootty's Nasrani, Dileep's Calcutta News and Prithviraj's Chocolate, which were earlier planned as Onam releases.

The man behind breathtaking stunts of KAAFILA

KAAFILA is all set to release on August 10. Besides other positives in the film, the USP lies in it's breathtaking stunts, especially the ship sequence which is integral to the film's plot. The man behind these stunts is Hanif Sheikh.
