It might sound quite surprising but the ever-fashionable Sonam Kapoor has gone without grease paint for her forthcoming Aanand L. Rai directorial ‘Raanjhanaa’.

The fashionista Sonam who always is known for her glamorous side, however, will be seen in a more subtle avatar in the flick. Sonam opts for more simpler and non-glamorous look as she plays a common girl belonging to Benaras. In fact in certain scenes the diva will be seen in no make-up.
Not many actresses of Bollywood would opt for such kind of avatar.

Sonam, who likes to stay true to the character, believes that the look of the character is very important as it defines the person to be portrayed.

Going no-makeup is not something preferable for our Bollywood beauties. However, the role of Sonam in the film travels to different age groups henceforth her life changes at each step.

Apparently it was exciting for Sonam to perform such a part as she got to play with her appearance and the mannerisms. It is indeed courageous of Sonam that a such an earlier stage of her career she preferred to shed away the diva look and switch to something really simple.

As a matter of fact, in her off screen life too Sonam believes simplicity depicts elegance. The actress has got a lot of appreciation for her look in ‘Raanjhanaa’ since the trailer has been out. She has got a fantastic response and audiences are looking forward for it.
