A new version of Sharwanand's beef with 'Sreekaram' producers

It has already been reported that actor Sharwanand has slapped a legal notice on 14 Reels Plus, the producers of his most recent release, 'Sreekaram'. It's rumoured that the producers have not honoured the payment of remuneration for the movie to the tune of Rs 2 Cr (part of the total fee of more than Rs 5 Cr).
As per a couple of media reports, the production house has been helpless for a variety of reasons. As per the pro-14 Reels Plus version that has surfaced, Sharwanand whizzed off to the US after 'Jaanu' bombed at the box-office in February 2020. This delayed the completion of 'Sreekaram', which was supposed to hit the screens in the summer of 2020. The imposition of a country-wide intense lockdown towards the end of March culminated in a painful delay in the film's release for about a year.

When the film finally came out in March 2021, 14 Reels Plus had already made losses on 'Sreekaram'. The message-driven flick couldn't milk the US market, nor could it leverage the non-AP/TS markets within India. So, its pre-release theatrical business was underwhelming and couldn't cover the production costs.
As a result of this unforeseen financial derailment, the producers of 'Sreekaram' were hard-pressed. They couldn't fully honour the payment, but they were also courteous to inform Sharwanand to submit the post-dated cheques (for Rs 2 Cr) at the bank once their financial situation improves.
As per the pro-14 Reels Plus version, the 'Shatamanam Bhavati' actor wanted the payment to be honoured at the earliest. Thus, he sent a legal notice to the banner.
