A new talent emerges

Mamta Mohandas is an up and coming actress in Malayalam with several offers in her kitty.
Her launch pad in Malayalam filmdom, Mayookham, directed by Hariharan, has just been released. 'I am careful about choosing my films,' says Mamta.
She is currently facing the camera as Mammootty's sister in V.M.Vinu's Bus Conductor, 'in a brief but significant role'. Padmakumar's Khaki in which she is paired opposite Prithviraj is set to roll soon.
She says. 'I've been lucky that until now I have been offered roles that I fit into perfectly. Let's see what's in store for me.'
On her favorite Malayalam films, Mamta says 'I haven't seen many but loved Sargam a lot. And I never imagined that I would be launched by its director, when I first saw the movie.'
Mamta has be entrained in Carnatic and Hindustani music, for a few years. "I love singing in Arabic and English too, she says.
Mamta seems to be a good find.
