When she debuted in Krishna Vamsi's Danger, many thought that she would do well to cling on to television. Proving sceptics wrong, she bounced back through Ashta Chamma (Telugu) and Subramaniapuram (Tamil. Dubbed into Telugu as Ananthapuram). Having proved herself to be an actress of mettle in Poraali (Sangharshana) and Kalavaramaye Madilo, she has gone on to bag Swamy Ra Ra and Bangaru Kodi Petta which star Nikhil and Navdeep, respectively.

Adding a new feather to her cap, Swathi has just signed a Malayalam film. Titled as Amen, the film is directed by Lijo, the film has a musical and a romantic setting. Scheduled to go on the floors by the end of September, the film stars Fahadh Faasil, Indrajith, Thilakan and Innocent.

Since Swathi is not the kind of actress who accepts a film for the sake of doing it, it can be safely said that she will be seen in a performance-oriented role here.
