The Election Commission of Telangana recently made a pivotal decision following the results of the assembly elections in the state. In light of these outcomes, the formation of a new government was set into motion, culminating in the establishment of the third Legislative Assembly as conveyed through a gazette notification.
Chief Election Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj, along with the Principal Secretary of the Election Commission, presented the gazette to Governor Tamilisai. This formal exchange included a comprehensive report on the election, with CEO Vikas Raj submitting a list of winning MLAs to the Governor.
Simultaneously, Governor Tamilisai issued a circular for the dissolution of the existing legislature. Assembly Secretary Narasimhachari previously handed over copies of the dissolution to the Governor, marking the conclusion of the current Legislative Assembly. The formation of a new government in Telangana is imminent, with the Chief Minister scheduled to take the oath at 8:30 PM. There are indications that accompanying the Chief Minister, several ministers will also partake in the swearing-in ceremony.
Preparations are underway for the smooth transition of power. Vehicles for the new ministers have been readied and brought to Dilkusha's guest house. The Secretariat is being configured to accommodate the requirements of the incoming government, with the General Administration Department (GAD) making necessary arrangements, including the allocation of chambers. The restructuring process involves the removal of old boards, and spaces previously occupied by government advisers are being vacated. Additionally, a designated room on the ground floor has been assigned for media activities.
The political landscape of Telangana is set for a significant transformation, with Revanth Reddy, instrumental in the Congress victory, poised to assume the role of Chief Minister. Reliable sources suggest that the eagerly anticipated swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 8:30 PM on December 4 at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad. This historic event not only marks the inauguration of Revanth Reddy as Chief Minister but also the induction of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as the Deputy Chief Minister. Furthermore, the initial cabinet is expected to include five additional MLAs. The unfolding developments signify a noteworthy turning point for the state.
