The upcoming film 'Maanaadu,' directed by Venkat Prabhu, starring Silambarasan, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. While filming for the political thriller completed a few months ago, the film's release has been postponed because of the ongoing pandemic.
The latest buzz is that the film makers are planing for a theatrical release on October 14 to coincide with the Ayudha Pooja festival if the lockdown is relaxed. But official announcements are yet to be made.
The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the leading heroine, alongside SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Manoj, and others. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions.Recently Yuvan bagged the music rights of this film and made it official on his twitter.
'Maanaadu' was originally scheduled to be released on Eid Day, May 14, but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Simbu gave a comeback in his last film Eeswaran and it became a blockbuster hit and is currently working on his next project 'Pathu Thala'.
