'KGF: Chapter 1' was an unexpected monstrous hit on the pan Indian level. The film ended halfway through the story and ever since then fans have been waiting for the sequel desperately. The fact that Bollywood stars like Sanjay Dutt and Raveen Tandon are joining the franchise also added to the excitement. 'KGF: Chapter 2' was slated to release on 16th of July but the second wave of Covid-19 has effectively ruined the plans.

The film has been postponed till the situation gets better and audience returns back to the theatres. Actress Raveen Tandon shared a pic which read, "The monster will only arrive when the hall is filled with gangsters!! His new arrival date will be announced soon.” Her caption for the post was, "Witness the MAGNUM OPUS come to life soon.”

'KGF: Chapter 2' will continue the story of Rocky, played by Kannada superstar Yash. He will be facing the menacing antagonist Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt. The film will release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam.
