As Tamil cinema is coming up with movies made in varied genres, Krishnam, a unique devotional movie based on true events  is being made. Directed by debutant Dinesh Baboo, the movie is based on a miracle that happened in the family of a millionaire in Kerala, and the family's encounter with Lord Krishna himself.

The movie is based on the incident where the the third son of a wealthy family was diagnosed with a rare disease, and as he got ready for a surgery, the events that unfolded. The movie will showcase the events that happened including the doctor in-charge of the surgery falling unconscious, and a boy from Guruvayur enquiring on his health and also visiting them.

Reportedly, after the family tried to contact the boy, no such person existed in reality, with the family believing that it was lord Krishna who had come to help them and now, the movie is being made as they wanted the whole world to know the devotional miracle. Krishnam will have Akshay Krishnan, the survivor himself in lead role, while Aishwarya Ullas, Sai Kumar, Shanthi Krishna play supporting roles. Krishnam will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam.
