"Its been 10 yrs of my career in film industry today, Been a great journey. wouldnt hv made it wit out ur love n support. Thank u guys," Tollywood's most prolific comedy hero of our times tweeted a while ago. From being called a not-so-interesting debutante when he was seen in a juvenile role in Ravi Babu's Allari, he has come a long way.
There was no looking back for him when his father, late EVV Sathyanarayana, starting honing him. He learnt the ropes quickly, far exceeded the expectations of his audience, who came to watch him do nothing more than self-denigrating comedy or spout lines that took a dig at other actors. His ability to deliver dialogues fast and with clarity may be said to be a big strength of him.
Interestingly, he is engaged in doing two big-budget movies at the moment. Action, India's first full-on 3D comedy, is being directed by Anil Sunkara. To be released in Telugu and Tamil, it is a feather in his cap. Another film, a socio-fantasy, casts him a good role. But before these two flicks, Sudigaadu, a parody on Telugu cinema, directed by Bheemaneni, is to be watched out for.
Naresh is not a superstar, but he has been accepted in Kollywood. The likes of Samuthirikaran (Shambo Shiva Shambo and Sangharshana) have noticed the other side of this talented actor. In the years ahead, his audience expect him to shine in distinct roles and not just in comedy acts.
