A day of rejoice for Thala-Thalabathi fans

The year 2014 started with a bang in Tinsel town. Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Jilla released on the January 10 as Pongal treat to fans. The films of these two stars clashed after almost seven years. And to the delight of every both the films have become successful to all people associate. Today both the films have touched the 50 day mark and still running in a few screens.



The earlier occasions when the Thala and Thalabathi films competed directly have been successful only to either of the actors except in the case of Dheena and Friends that released for Pongal 2001. But this time both the stars have hit the bull’s eye by selecting the right script catering to their respective fan base as well satisfying the family audience. The success should also be attributed to loyalty and overwhelming response of Thala and Thalabathi fans to the film of their icons.

If Veeram directed by Siva was a complete family entertainer Jilla directed by R.T.Nesan was an action packed mass masala entertainer. The careers of both the stars have reached a new high after the success of their latest film.
