The Blue Whale Challenge online game recently set the media ablaze claiming more than 200 lives .The online game created by a 22 year old Russian ex-convict makes the player undergo a series of 50 self-destructive tasks before the penultimate task of suicide.

A class nine student narrowly escaped the grave danger of the online game after his teacher stepped in to save him. The boy who belongs to Rajasthan's Jhunjunu district claimed to have crossed three stages of the game when his teacher overheard about it.

On orders from the district's collector Dinesh Kumar Yadav, a psychiatrist and senior officials of the state school education department conselled the students on the dangers of the game. The mobile in which the game was installed has also been confiscated.
