The thought of boarding a Cruise Ship from Chennai is finally a reality and thanks to India's only premium Crusie line "Cordelia Cruises" for making it happen. Doing seasons in the shore cities of the country the 692 ft long with 11 floors and the guest capacity 1800 people arrived to Chennai in style on "The Empress" which looks like a 7-star hotel from the inside but the only difference, Water is Everywhere!

From plethora of restaurants and bars to comfy staterooms, DJ pool parties, movie nights, shopping, spa and salon treatments, gym facilities, excursions, learning zones for kids, rock climbing, casino, and more and indeed brings the 'ALL' in this all-inclusive trip.

Right from the moment we stepped onto this marvelous beauty of a ship, we were taken care of with the utmost care and the hospitality by the onboard staff was just outstanding. Welcoming with a garland & a drink made us calm down in this sunny weather and were directed towards our rooms and the floors are referred to as decks on a ship and so our rooms were located on the 4th Deck. Talking about our rooms aka compact cubicles, they were small yet comfortable with an attached washroom. We stayed at their 'Ocean View Staterooms' which had a lovely oceanic view as well. (What more do we want?)

Coming to the most important part, the food! on this journey where there was turbulence all the TIME, like literally making us feel a bit dizzy as well as a nauseatic feeling always due to the tides and wind. Despite the urge to gobble up everything, we had to control and were offered Breakfast, Lunch, Hi-Tea & Dinner and apart from this, they had over 9+ different cuisines restaurants from where we can taste food of chefs from all over the world (but yes, gotta pay extra for that).

Nice food + Soothing oceanic view is something we all crave for and with some nice music, it feels like we're in heaven and such is the top deck (YES! the 11th floor of the ship) where we could do anything & everything with a nice breeze. Moving on to the "anything & everything" Cordelia offers a massive array of activities, a 6ft. swimming pool, 3 lovely jacuzzis, rock climbing, salon & spa, casinos, and loads of activities conducted by the event hosts of Cordelia like Karaoke sessions, salsa dancing, games for all and if you're a fitness freak (there's GYM!) and many more.

Another thing that blew our minds was the in-house theatre that was again something that was a never seen before kind of an experience. They had shows for all ages right from ethnic & cultural heritage shows to adult shows, they had covered it all making it overall a lovely experience. You can have fub with family, your special second half & friends! there's literally no boundary as such & caters to everyone's need.

Despite Internet not being there (cuz you'll be in the middle of the ocean) it feels stress free, but if you need it you can get it on-board too! Right from the accomodation to the plethora of activities the cruise is an out and out mini-foreign trip for us to experience. What's even better is that you can also host corporate events as well as weddings on-board! Well, it might be expensive but would definitely be worth it saying 'I do' on a cruise right?

Being just for the next four months in Chennai, hurry up & book your tickets & have a crazy experience with your loved ones. We had fun boarding cordelia & this is how our experience was. We were taken care of very well & when there is sea left, right, front & behind, what else do we need?
