Having started her career with Sutradharan, Meera jasmine has come a long way since then. She was the winner of the National Award for Best Actress last year for her performance in Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam.

Now currently acting in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, Meera Jasmine has become a busy actress down south.

After winning the national award, Meera philosophy of acting seems to have undergone a sea change.

She says. 'I am tired of running around trees and romancing. Being an artiste, one would certainly love to do films which provide an opportunity to expose one's acting skills'.

Adding more, Meera says that she would love to direct one day. According to her, 'my cherished desire is to direct a movie in the future. I'm watching many directors from close quarters and updating my knowledge on film-making.'

All the best, Meera.
