Director Puri Jagannadh`s upcoming film Loafer which was initially scheduled to hit the screens for Pongal has advanced the release date by a month. According to sources, the film will now release on December 18. Sources say, producer C Kalyan doesn't want to take any chance to pit his film against the likes of Dictator and Nannaku Prematho and rescheduled the release date to December.

Posani Krishna Murali and Revathi are playing vital roles in this commercial entertainer which is currently in post-production stages. The trailer of the film released recently received good response from movie-buffs. Disha Patani is playing the leading lady in Loafer and this is her first film in Telugu.

Varun Tej is playing the role of a pick-pocketer in this film and the actor had gone for a complete makeover for his character. Sunil Kashyap is scoring the music and the film`s audio will be released in November.
