A busy May for Mollywood

Though very few films has managed to turn a hit in the first few months, Mollywood will have the release of atleast a dozen films in the month of May. The first week itself will have almost five films geared up for the release.

Among the first films to greet the viewers in May, 'Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal' by debutant director Ajith Pillai’is the hot favourite. Shot at Lakshadweep by Abhinandham Ramanujam, the 'U' certified movie has Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, Janani Iyer and Swathi Reddy in its cast. Prasanth Pillai does the music for the film which will be out on May 1.

The very next day will have the release of 'To Noora with love' featuring Mamtha Mohandas and Krish J sathar, a romantic musical. The other films scheduled for the weekend includes 'Monai angane Aanai'.featuring Bhagath Manuel and Aju Varghese. The much delayed movie from Kunjakko Boban 'Law Point' may also found theatres on the first week of May. The movie is directed by Lijin Jose.

Mohanlal’s Mr. Fraud, directed by B Unnikrishnan, which has met with a producer ban will be on screens by May 8. This is the first film from Mohanlal after the film 'Drishyam'.. The most expected movie of month will be Anjali Menon's 'Bangalore Days'. With a mammoth cast of Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim, Isha Talwar, Nithya Menen and Parvathy Menon, Anwar Rasheed is the producer and Sameer Thahir is the cinematographer. The movie will be on screens by May 9.

Unni Mukundan, Anu Mohan and Pearle Maaneys 'Last Supper' is all about an adventure trip to a jungle and associated twists. Directed by Vinil Vasu, the movie will catch the release centres on May 9. .

'How Old Are You?' by Rosshan Andrrews’ is the comeback movie of Manju Warrier which will also have Kunchacko Boban in its cast lists. After the few dud films of recent times, Jayaram will be seen this may in Ulsaha Committee: a comedy by Akku Akbar. There are some more smaller movies which will be trying to get theatre this May, the mid summer vacation season in Kerala.
