Narain Karthikeyan needs no introduction. He was the first racing driver in India who became a Formula 1 driver. What more interesting is that he hails from Tamil Nadu. Now the hot update is that talks are going on for a biopic on him!
Yes, it seems to be raining biopics in Indian film space- and who cares as long as it entertains people and makes cash at the box office. And for this project, the makers have reportedly approached Bollywood hotshot Upen Patel. Upen Patel has played one of the villains in Vikram’s ‘I’.
The buzz is that when the actor was at Chennai shooting ‘Boomerang’ the makers got in touch with him. It is also reported that a production company which is associated with Mani Ratnam, Rajinikanth project is only bankrolling the picture, so more expectations on this!
Upen hasn’t signed the contract as of now. We might have to wait for an official confirmation. The film is touted to be made primarily in Hindi with a high probability of a Tamil version also directed by a South Indian filmmaker.
