After creating a record of sorts purchasing the Chennai theatrical rights for Rajini starrer 'Sivaji' for a whopping amount, producer and theatre owner Abhirami Ramanathan has obtained the theatrical rights of Vikram-Shriya starrer 'Kanthaswamy', directed by Susiganesan for a sum of Rs 4.01 crore.
After obtaining the Chennai rights for the film from its producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, Abhirami Ramanathan, said, 'I am confident that the movie would do well at the box office. It has everything in it to make it big. It is a grand venture and I hope it would be a treat for this summer'.
Ramanathan, who managed to release 'Sivaji' in 17 theatres in 16 screens in Chennai, said, 'similarly 'Kanthaswamy' would be released in a grand manner'.
The film is likely to release April last week or May first week. The shoot for this action adventure is complete. It has been shot in various locales abroad.
