Remember that Puri Jagannadh played himself in Gautham Menon's Ye Maya Chesave? Rajamouli is set to do something similar. He will play a guest role in Nani's next, to be directed by Virinchi Varma. According to a national daily, he will be seen as director Rajamouli, while Nani is playing an assistant director in this yet-to-be-titled movie.

This is not the first time that Rajamouli is coming in front of the camera. In Magadheera, for example, we have seen him dance, along with the entire cast and crew, to a song as the end credits roll. He has never done a role, though. It looks like Rajamouli has agreed to appear in Virinchi's film because Nani is the hero. Nani is Rajamouli's favourite and he always makes it a point to watch Nani's films first day first show. Besides, Rajamouli doesn't have to act. He just has to be himself.
