The prestigious 9th Bengaluru International Film Festival at Bengaluru and Mysuru kick start today with magnificent arrangements.

In front of Vidhana Soudha the majestic building of Bengaluru, seat power – at 6 pm Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurate the festival. 200 films, 15 screens and 15 sections are part of this festival. The history of Kannada cinema, culture and art is screened at this inaugural function. The inaugural film is at Banquet Hall Vidhana Soudha at 7.45pm. Laa Vache` (Man and his cow) directed by Mohammad Amidi in Algeria language will be screened.

The speakers of council Shankaramurthy, assembly KB Kolivada, Information minister Roshan Baig, KJ George, Umasri, Jagadish Shettar, PC Mohan, Sa Ra Govindu, HC Mahadevappa, KS IShwarappa, Priyank M Kharge, Smt Padmavathi Bengaluru Mayor are taking part on the dais.

The special guests are Buddadev Das Gupta, Puneeth Rajakumar, Hala Kalil, the light for inauguration is brought (Thali Girl) by Radhika Chetan, Suhasini and Ramesh Aravind conduct the show.
